A Day Filled With Colour, Creativity, and Community

‘Fun Ki Azaadi’

The Impact hosted a vibrant and heart-warming art exhibition on 11 October, Fun Ki Azaadi, bringing together families, students, and community members for a day filled with creativity, connection, and celebration. The entire campus came alive with activity as children proudly showcased their artwork, visitors explored interactive stalls, and parents shared their heartfelt reflections on the students’ achievements.

From the moment guests walked in, the atmosphere was warm, festive, and full of excitement.

A Campus Transformed Into a Creative Hub

Classrooms were transformed into mini-galleries, each wall lined with bright, expressive paintings created by children from different classes. Every room had its own charm, reflecting the individuality and imagination of the students who contributed their pieces.

Parents moved from room to room, admiring the artwork, taking photographs, and purchasing the paintings that spoke to them. Watching the proud smiles on the children’s faces as their parents admired their creations added an emotional dimension to the event. It was more than an exhibition, it was a celebration of each child’s voice and the countless hours of effort behind every brushstroke.

Stalls, Activities & A Day Full of Energy

Outside, the exhibition turned into a lively fair-like experience. A range of stalls offered something for everyone, some hosted by local businesses, and others showcasing products created right here at Impact by students and staff.

Highlights included:

  • Bracelet-making station, where children and parents joined in the creative fun
  • Face painting, a major hit with younger visitors
  • Business stalls, offering unique products
  • Impact-made items, lovingly crafted by students and staff

Each activity added its own flavour to the event, allowing children to explore their interests, express themselves freely, and enjoy moments of joy and sensory engagement. The outdoor area buzzed throughout the day, creating a festive community atmosphere.

Parents’ Reactions: Voices of Pride and Joy

After touring the classrooms and viewing the art, many parents stepped outside for short interviews. They were asked questions like:

  • “What do you think about the event?”
  • “What are your thoughts on the art the kids created?

Their responses were filled with pride and appreciation, reflecting how meaningful it was for them to see their children’s creativity celebrated and how therapeutic and important art is for all children.

These interviews added a personal touch to the event coverage, capturing the emotional connection families felt as they engaged with their children’s work.

An Event That Celebrated More Than Art

While the paintings and activities were central to the day, the event symbolized something richer, a celebration of growth, expression, inclusion, and community. Each stall, each artwork, and each smiling moment reflected the supportive environment that Impact continues to build.

It was a day that honoured every child’s unique way of seeing the world, and reminded everyone present of the beauty that emerges when children are given the space, encouragement, and freedom to create.
