IMPACT supports children in developing their communication skills and treating any speech related issues, including stammering, stuttering, and hearing
impairment. Autism has a significant effect on language and communication which makes speech and language therapy an absolute necessity.
A lot of the times, children are verbal but are unable to communicate when needed, for example with Echolalia which includes repetition of spoken words. This is why the main goal of Speech and Language pathologists is to achieve functional speech. This teaching takes place in structured and unstructured settings so that our students can independently communicate using verbal and nonverbal language.
